Akita - Hinai Chicken & Akita Dog

We went to Tazawa Lake before Akita's festival.

When we arrived, first thing we saw was...

Hinai Chicken!

I actually didn't know Hinai Chicken was from Akita.
Hinai Chicken is famous Jidori Chicken in Japan and it's delicious.
This website has a detailed explanation about Hinai Chicken.

This is Hinai Chicken I saw.

Next to Hinai Chicken, there was Akita Dog!

From Wiki:
The Akita is a large spitz breed of dog originating from the mountainous northern regions of Japan. There are two separate varieties of Akita: a Japanese strain, known as the "Akita Inu" or "Japanese Akita"; and an American strain, known as the "Akita" or "American Akita". The Japanese strain comes in a small choice of colors, with all other colors considered atypical of the breed, while the American strain comes in all dog colors. The Akita has a short double coat, similar to that of many other northern spitz breeds such as the Siberian Husky, but long coated dogs can be found in many litters due to a recessive gene.
Yeah, indeed they were big dogs!
But they kept sleeping...

Next is Tarawa Lake~!

Akita - Introduction

Akita prefecture is located below Aomori.

From Wiki:
Akita Prefecture is a prefecture of Japan located in the Tōhoku region of northern Honshu, the main island of Japan. The capital is the city of Akita.

Ahaha, nothing much about Akita.. :D

Here's the direction from Aomori -> Akita ->Tokyo.

I actually didn't know much about Akita before I visited, but actually there are many things to see!

I'll introduce those in next blog. :)
